We are happy to provide framing estimates with no obligation. Our experts will provide a portfolio of styles, suitable for the artwork and your personal preferences.
Historically Accurate Framing Options
Antique artworks can be displayed in frames that are appropriate for their era and style. This not only provides them with further historical context but also presents them as the artist would have intended. We can create fully bespoke options in a range of different colours and finishes.
Our team of conservators and framing experts work with artistic and historic integrity at the forefront of their minds, which is why we offer a bespoke framing service alongside our professional conservation treatments.Â
As well as choosing from a range of bespoke frames with different eras and styles, entirely new frames can also be produced. Simply show us a photograph of what you are looking for and we can advise on the costs and possibilities for your project.Â
Conservation Framing
All of our framing is completed with a conservation approach, meaning that the finished bespoke product will be safe and secure for your artwork going forwards.
This includes the avoidance of chemicals and acids, as well as the precise fitting of a canvas, panel, or even more unusual mediums to ensure their longevity.
We can provide options that suit works from the 15th century to the 20th century. Historic framing which can be provided by our team includes, but is not limited to, the following styles:
- Baroque frames
- Rococo frames
- Renaissance frames
- Dutch frames
- Traditional carved oak and walnut frames
- Victorian frames
- Regency frames
- Whistler frames
- Spandrel frames
- Mid-century frames
- Art deco framesÂ
If your artwork has a unique style, we can also provide entirely bespoke options for your consideration. Additionally, you may want to consider our handmade washline mounts for works on paper.
