We are pleased to advise on all aspects of paper conservation and repair, offering a bespoke treatment plan for each piece.
Paper Conservation and Restoration
Our specialist paper restoration and conservation services help to preserve watercolours, prints, drawings, documents, maps, posters and other works on paper. Each item is carefully assessed before treatment, taking into account the paper, media, condition, age and intended use.
Paper can be affected by foxing, staining, yellowing, tears, folds, losses, water damage, mould and unsuitable historic mounting materials. Our paper conservator uses carefully selected conservation techniques to stabilise damage, improve the appearance of the work where appropriate and support its long-term preservation.
We also provide conservation framing and acidic mount removal, UV-protective specialist glazing and bespoke washline mounts to help protect suitable works following treatment.
