Memorabilia Restoration
It’s not just traditional artwork which our team can restore. Collectors memorabilia is an increasingly important and popular area for restoration and conservation. These specialist items, which are often one of a kind, can be professionally restored with the same detail and specialist care as a rare piece of fine art.
Cherished posters, film props, album covers, figurines, concert tickets, programmes, sporting and military items all may need specialist treatment to ensure their longevity and valuable originality. Often memorabilia items are full of sentimental value, but they can also surpass their asking price at auction. The increasing market for memorabilia has made this a key sector in the industry.
Accidental damage can often occur as memorabilia is collected, but this can be fully reversed in most cases. We can remove sellotape, residue and staining, flatten creases, repair tears and holes, retouch artwork and restore colour.
Posters and other works on card or paper and can be restored in much the same way as traditional works on paper.
Figurines and statues made of various materials can have breakages seamlessly restored.
Textile memorabilia, such as film costumes, football shirts and historic regalia, can also have tears repaired and stains removed by our specialist textile conservators.
Unique and unusual items are also welcome to be discussed with us, as we can work with a wide range of materials and damage.
To receive recommendations on the restoration of your memorabilia please email [email protected] and we can help you to revive your collector’s items.
