Cane and rush seating is a more comfortable option to a wooden seat. Depending on your budget and the finish you want, our team can either re-cane traditionally by hand or use machine-made cane. For hand woven seats small holes are drilled around the edge of the seating area We can tint and age newly caned or rushed items to match in with other pieces.

Yes, we can easily replace the cane, send us some photos and we can take a look at the material, method and material used. If the back is caned too, but undamaged we can replace the seat in the same pattern and then tint it to match the existing.
Depending on the amount of use and the environment that the chair has been kept in, it’s usually about 20-30 years.
Washing the cane seat using a soft brush with a mild detergent and water, allow to dry naturally, ideally outside on a warm, sunny day. a rush seat should not be washed with water, instead, use a stiff brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Stains are difficult remove from rush.
